The Best Holiday Gift is Completing Your Will and Trust

Family, Must Have Documents

December 09, 2021

I hope this holiday season finds you and your loved ones in good health and strong spirit.

I imagine you already have your holiday gift list in hand. But I want to ask you to consider adding one more item to your list.

If you have yet to create the MUST HAVE™ Documents that protect you, and bring peace of mind to your loved ones, I think that’s the greatest gift you can give right now.

I imagine many of you might be thinking “Ick. Suze, don’t bring me down, it’s been a hard enough year.”

I hear you. But I ask you to hear me. Creating what I call the Must Have Documents will bring so much light to your life.

Having a Will, Revocable Trust, Financial Power of Attorney and Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care, becomes a gift for you and your loved ones.

Creating the Must Have Documents is a gift of self-care. The Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care ensures that someone you appoint will step in and be your voice about medical care, if there ever comes a time you can’t be your own advocate. A Financial Power of Attorney is the document that will allow someone you appoint to handle your finances if you can’t.

Your Will and Trust is how you take the best care possible of those you love, once you pass.

Okay, I know that might not sound like much holiday cheer. But if you step back for just a second, you will agree with me. We don’t know what the future will bring us. The Must Have Documents give you more freedom and space to not worry about your loved ones. By creating the Must Have Documents you have done what is in your control to protect and help them.

How is that not the best gift?
