I hear you. I see you. I feel you. And I am here to help you.
My new book, The Ultimate Retirement Guide for 50+, has all the emotional, financial, and interpersonal tools you need to move past your retirement fears and create the ultimate retirement. And to get you started on the path to the ultimate retirement, I need to ask you to trust me and do me a huge favor: Let. Go. Of. Your. Fear.
Fear only holds us back. And wears us down.
If all your energy is going into being fearful about your future it saps the energy you could be putting into making the decisions –and changes – in your life today that will make a comfortable retirement a reality.
Honestly, I have so much financial advice in The Ultimate Retirement Guide for 50+. Strategies for your 401(k)s and IRAs. Advice on how to decide when to take Social Security. Recommendations for those of you with a pension on whether a lump sum payout makes sense.
But I want you to hear me loud and clear: the biggest asset you have to create a secure retirement is your attitude today. I am asking you to let go of the fear and stand tall in your new truth: You have everything it takes to make smart, positive changes in your life today that will lead you to the retirement you want, and you so deserve.
Will some of the changes be hard? Maybe. At least at first. But I guarantee you that every decision you make that helps you build a secure retirement is going to quickly feel so good. You will be creating a future where there is no need for fear. How is that not a blessing?
In the coming weeks, I will continue to dive into some practical retirement planning advice. Your job this week is to get ready and excited—yes, I said excited—to take control of your future. When it comes to your retirement planning, I want you to do some closet cleaning this week. Fear gets tossed. Shame is to be banished. Blame is to put out on the curb.
If you can let go of all the negativity and believe in yourself as much as I believe in you, I am confident you and I can get you headed toward your ultimate retirement.
